As a traveler, I always seek out new experiences that will get my heart racing and push me out of my comfort zone. That’s why when I found myself in Las Vegas, I knew I had to check out the Stratosphere Tower. This iconic landmark is home to some of the most thrilling rides and attractions in the city, and I was determined to reach new heights and conquer my fears.
The Stratosphere Tower stands at an impressive 1,149 feet tall, making it one of the tallest freestanding observation towers in the United States. But it’s not just a place to take in the views – it’s also a destination for adrenaline junkies looking for a thrill.
There are several rides and attractions at the Stratosphere Tower that will get your heart pumping, but I decided to start with the SkyJump. This exhilarating experience involves jumping off the tower from a height of 829 feet and freefalling at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. It’s like bungee jumping without the bounce, and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
As I stood on the ledge, looking down at the ground far below, my nerves started to kick in. But with the help of the friendly and supportive staff, I was able to muster up the courage to take the leap. And let me tell you – it was an experience I’ll never forget. The rush of adrenaline as I fell through the air was unlike anything I had ever felt before, and the views of Las Vegas from above were simply breathtaking.
After my SkyJump experience, I was ready to take on even more thrills at the Stratosphere Tower. Next up was the Big Apple Coaster, a roller coaster that takes you on a wild ride through the New York-New York Hotel & Casino before soaring up and around the Stratosphere Tower. With its 180-degree twists and turns, this coaster is not for the faint of heart either – but it’s definitely worth the ride.
Finally, I decided to take in the views from the observation deck at the top of the tower. The 360-degree panoramic views of Las Vegas are simply stunning, and there’s something truly awe-inspiring about standing at such a great height above the city below.
